Some thoughts from the past weekend Derby prep races:

- I don't care what American Pharoah does on Saturday, Dortmund is the horse to beat on Derby Day. I know he is the horse that Cza likes to win the Derby. And he was impressive again, easily beating a fairly solid field in the Santa Anita Derby. That said, he benefited from Bad Read Sanchez being taken back to last, allowing him to set his own pace. Now he set legitimately fast fractions, but he wasn't being pressured in...

I am going to be out in Denver this summer and wanted to cap off my trip with a road trip to a national park. Since I will be out west and have a car, I'm willing to drive for an entire day to go somewhere. My initial gut instinct tells me to go to Yellowstone (it'll be late July).

Fan of big trees and a hike with a great view.

Caesar: 60-70,000 men (10-12 legions and 10,000 auxillaries)

Vercengetorix: 80,000 inside Alesia, and 248,000 in the relief army.

- Caesar laid siege to Alesia and built a wall around the city that was 16km long, and had 24 towers spaced out.

i have a 20 yr old water heater. works ok, probably going to explode at some point and kill my ass, but otherwise no huge need to replace now

i can get a nice new one installed with rebate etc. for 700. thinkin about going ahead and doing it since most water heaters now are going more expensive thanks to california regulations that all manufacturers are adhering by.

is 700 installed for a 50 gallon tank good?

I'm just going to make this the new vaccination thread

I know there’s a Safe Space for Guy’s Guys but here’s a thread for everything else.

Two things to lead off with.

1.) I really want to be in a 3-way with Amanda Freitag & Damaris Phillips

2.) when did the fun-loving Good Eats Alton Brown turn into a smarmy cunt?
