Dealing with Depression Thread: an even safer place than the original
I thought this thread was helpful so I'm bringing it back.
Buddy of mine from college tried to kill himself last week. Went thru a very bad breakup, apparently decided to kill himself to get back at his ex. It's a messed up situation. He posted this long thing on Facebook about why. I get texted asking if I know where he lives now, they call the local cops, who find him before he does anything and put him in 72-hr suicide watch. I'm waiting for updates now.

Advice for taking the CPA
I was wondering from anyone who has taken the CPA recently or is studying for it now what you think I should do. As of right now, I have 144 hours and will have my 150+ after this semester. My school just started doing spring internships with public accounting firms but I don't have a need to do them since I graduate this summer and start working in the fall. Ever met a doctor with a funny name?
When I was a medical student at Tulane School of Medicine I had a resident who's name was Dr. Tekle. Worked with him for about a week and one day he was trying to be cool and so he says "call me Tes". His first name was Tesfai but he went by Tes.
Later that day at my place it dawned on me his full name was Tes Tekle, sounded exactly like testical. Dr. Tes Tekle. I laughed for a good 10 minutes.
