Posted in the dog thread but figured it could use some more attention.

The group I adopted my retired greyhound from shared this and asked for help. The Lexington, KY branch of the national rescue is new and needs help with medical bills. They've had a few dogs come in with serious problems, including the one in the link with like 6K in bills (had to have large sections of skin removed). They don't have the reserves built up that older branches have. Every couple bucks will help these dogs...

I thought this thread was helpful so I'm bringing it back.


Buddy of mine from college tried to kill himself last week. Went thru a very bad breakup, apparently decided to kill himself to get back at his ex. It's a messed up situation. He posted this long thing on Facebook about why. I get texted asking if I know where he lives now, they call the local cops, who find him before he does anything and put him in 72-hr suicide watch. I'm waiting for updates now.
