I often see that when we talking about the history of American warfare, many discussions tend to center 3 wars that would be considered landmarks in our history. The American Revolutionary, The Civil War and World War 2. However, I often wonder why when don't talk about WW1 nearly as much as we talk about WW2. What about other wars such as the Korean War or Vietnam war.

Tom Segura's latest special is solid but not quite as good as Completely Normal.

I am headed to Austin for ACL in September. Originally it was just going to be for the festival but I scheduled some work out there and some time off and will now be in Austin for a little over 3 weeks. I have been there a few times before, but never for such an extended stay. Looking for suggestions on things to do. I will be staying downtown at the Driskill. On the list so far:

Barton Springs
Food: Salt Lick, Hudson's, Hula Hut, and Home Slice (when out on South Congress)
Golf (at least...

Never been. My wife and I are going to visit friends in DC mid April and are thinking of heading to NYC for two nights. I want to see Ground Zero and some of the other landmarks, just trying to talk myself into it.

I heard taking the double decker tour bus thing is a pretty good idea.

This is a no brainer for some folks but I hate big city's. Obviously don't mind just visiting though.
