I am headed to Austin for ACL in September. Originally it was just going to be for the festival but I scheduled some work out there and some time off and will now be in Austin for a little over 3 weeks. I have been there a few times before, but never for such an extended stay. Looking for suggestions on things to do. I will be staying downtown at the Driskill. On the list so far:

Barton Springs
Food: Salt Lick, Hudson's, Hula Hut, and Home Slice (when out on South Congress)
Golf (at least...

ATX, ACL, SXSW, TMB, IDK, LMBO

The first major system moving through this weekend. Just went through all of my gear and targeting next weekend for the first trip up. Probably head to Stevens or Crystal, but might get enough through the week to make Alpental a go. After getting skunked the last couple of years, I'm itching to see just how bad I've gotten. This has caused a headache for the police station, as people have tried to enter it in the name of Pokémon.
