I thought this thread was helpful so I'm bringing it back.

Buddy of mine from college tried to kill himself last week. Went thru a very bad breakup, apparently decided to kill himself to get back at his ex. It's a messed up situation. He posted this long thing on Facebook about why. I get texted asking if I know where he lives now, they call the local cops, who find him before he does anything and put him in 72-hr suicide watch. I'm waiting for updates now.

Do you play music? What do you play? How long have you been doing it? Why did you start playing what you did? How'd you learn? Are you any good?

I'm learning how to play my first instrument and finally at the point where I can play some songs. It's pretty amazing and I'm kind of addicted to it.

Cool story, yes. Now tell me yours.
