I am going to be taking my kids to Disney World in a couple of weeks and would appreciate any advice. Wife is in her third trimester thus no flying and we will be making a marathon drive from TX-->Orlando. We are taking two girls 6 and 2. Staying for 1 week. Please assume I know nothing. TIA

user tiny tom had poutine with lobster gravy (mad jealous) last month but tonight i kopped a pound and a half of some of the best poutine if ever had... regular poutine with bacon, italian sausage, onions and montebello mushrooms and then i threw on some sriracha and some salt to make it godlike

I am headed to Austin for ACL in September. Originally it was just going to be for the festival but I scheduled some work out there and some time off and will now be in Austin for a little over 3 weeks. I have been there a few times before, but never for such an extended stay. Looking for suggestions on things to do. I will be staying downtown at the Driskill. On the list so far:

Barton Springs
Food: Salt Lick, Hudson's, Hula Hut, and Home Slice (when out on South Congress)

i am curious for those who are pro gun control what they expect to accomplish.

I say this as an owner of a handgun and a shotgun.

I mean every single person on this board if they wanted could find Heroin within 24 hours. Yet that is illegal. It's against the law to own or sell Heroin or any other controlled substance without a scrip.

So I ask what would a gun ban on handguns or assault rifles accomplish? Besides making it more difficult for a rightful citizen to obtain one?

When was the last time you stayed at a Super 8, Motel 6, etc? I usually go for a nice hotel and try to save via Hotwire hot rates, but this weekend I said YOLO and booked a motel 6 out of nostalgia.

Staying in Arlington close to a metro station apparently (Eisenhower Ave)... a couple questions:

- Is riding metro into DC from Arlington/outlying areas a somewhat quick thing or is it slow/a shit show?
As an example I’ve poked around a little bit and found a brew pub that seems rad (The Public Option) but am getting like hour and a half quotes on how long public transit would take each way, which seems nuts. I’m happy to uber but not sure which is the best for someone headed into DC in the...
